Universal Orlando Resort has announced a new Poltergeist-themed haunted house for its upcoming 28th annual Halloween Horror Nights (HHN28).
HHN Writer & Show Director Charles Gray said: “I remember watching this film on a VHS tape with a couple of neighborhood friends. We all tried to pretend we were not scared but could not sleep a wink that night. It became, and still is, one of my favorite films. The face peeling moment really stuck with me, and when I tried to shut out that image, others would pop in to replace it. The maggot steak, the giant mantis-like creature, the giant skull in the closet, and the clown… that freaky clown! I couldn’t look under my bed for months. This movie means a lot to me and the Universal team. We’re taking this iconic horror film we all grew up watching and bringing it to life for everyone to experience. We will be taking you, the guest, through all the fan favorite moments, and then guiding you into the place we always wanted to go… that bright and terrifying light. As Tangina would say, “Come into the light. All are welcome”.”
Poltergeist is just the latest film to join this year’s haunted house lineup, following Trick ‘r Treat, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Chucky.
Halloween Horror Nights 28 takes place on select nights starting Friday, September 14th and ending on Saturday, November 3rd. One-night tickets are on sale now for $63 per person, however, multi-night and party packages are also available:
