Co-Author Completes George A. Romero’s ‘The Living Dead’

Author Daniel Kraus has announced, via social media, that he’s completed his draft of The Living Dead, a new novel he co-wrote with the late, great George A. Romero. Kraus posted a photo of himself wearing one of Romero’s scarves, which he was often seen wearing on-set in behind-the-scenes footage from his movies:

According to Kraus’s posts, The Living Dead will be released by Tor Books in June of 2020.

Romero passed away in the Summer of 2017 at the age of 77. Late last year, a comic book prequel to Romero’s unfinished screenplay Road of the Dead was released by IDW Publishing.
