Developer Frogwares has released the first Q&A video for its upcoming Lovecraftian horror game The Sinking City. The video answers a handful of questions regarding game type, platforms, play time, and more:
According to Sergey Oganesyan, Community Manager for The Sinking City, the game is a third-person open-world action/adventure with an emphasis on solving mysteries. There is a proper combat system, so this isn’t a pure adventure game. The game will take approximately 30 to 40 hours for a complete playthrough of the main quest and most optional side quests. There are also multiple different endings.
There is still no word on pricing or a release date, but we do know that The Sinking City will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
A game of investigation and mystery taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
The player steps into the shoes of a 1920s private investigator who finds himself in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts, New England. A city suffering from unprecedented floods of clearly supernatural origins. A city trembling on the brink of madness.
Can you survive this beleaguered town and untangle the mysteries responsible for its tragic situation or will you be driven beyond madness yourself?
