Last night at the 90th annual Academy Awards show, Pixar’s Coco won both Academy Awards for which it was nominated, including the coveted Best Animated Feature.

Lee Unkrich and Darla K. Anderson accepted the Best Animated Feature Oscar for Coco. This is third time that Unkrich has been nominated for an Academy Award and his second win (Toy Story 3 in 2010) – Anderson was previously nominated for Toy Story 3 as well.

Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez also took home Best Original Song for “Remember Me”. This is the second win for the couple, following 2013’s Frozen.

Synopsis:

Aspiring young musician named Miguel embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.
