It’s not quite Thursday yet, but Lionsgate already released the first official trailer for its upcoming reboot of Hellboy. Yesterday, actor David Harbour, who’s playing the title role of “Hellboy”, posted a new movie poster on Instagram, with the promise that a trailer would be released on Thursday (tomorrow). The two-and-a-half minute trailer, dubbed “Smash Things” starts off on a comedic note with an cashier asking Hellboy for his ID and getting accidentally shot at by riot police., followed by a ton of quick-cut action sequences:
The new film is directed by Neil Marshall and stars Harbour, Milla Jovovich as “Nimue the Blood Queen”, Ian McShane as “Professor Bruttenholm”, Daniel Dae Kim as “Marine Captain Ben Daimio”, and Sasha Lane as “Alice Monaghan”.
Hellboy (2019) hits theaters nationwide as well as IMAX on Tuesday, April 12th.
