Funko has announced that Making Fun: The Story of Funko, its upcoming documentary about the company’s Pop! vinyl figurines and their collectors, will be coming to Netflix. The movie won Best Documentary Feature Film recently at the 2018 San Diego Film Awards.
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is but one of many celebrities featured in the trailer below:
The Eddie Grace Film Crew spent two years traveling to dozens of locations around the world including Vietnam, New York City, the Philippines and Funko headquarters in Everett, Washington, all the while capturing the stories and passion of the individuals who helped shape the Funko story. From humble beginnings as founder Mike Becker makes his vision a reality in a garage in Redmond, Washington to the company’s sale to Brian Mariotti and the launch of Funko’s bright and shiny store in Everett, the Funko story spans 30 years.
Of course, the story wouldn’t be complete without hearing from Funko fanatics ranging from lifelong collectors to celebrities including Kevin Smith, Tony Hawk, Elvira, Cletus Seldin and Robert Englund. Making Fun celebrates the relationships that have been built around the Funko fandom over the past three decades.
