Netflix has released the official poster for its upcoming horror movie Velvet Buzzsaw. The poster features the film’s title written in red on an otherwise blank canvas hanging in an art gallery, with the tagline “All Art Is Dangerous” in the lower-right:
The film is written & directed by Dan Gilroy and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, Natalia Dyer, Daveed Diggs, Billy Magnussen, and John Malkovich.
Released a couple of weeks ago, the film’s nearly three-minute long official trailer introduces us to a harsh art critic who praises the works of a dead painter that used blood for red paint. The paintings possess some kind of supernatural power which is utilizes to kill everyone who profits off the works:
Velvet Buzzsaw will be released Friday, February 1st exclusively on Netflix.
