Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer for its upcoming Pet Sematary remake. The two-minute trailer starts out with the family at the center of the story moving into their new rural home and receiving a warning about the land from their new neighbor, followed by scenes a ton of quick-cut scenes from the film:
Based on the Stephen King 1983 horror novel of the same name, the film is directed by Kevin Kolsch & Dennis Widmyer, written by Jeff Buhler, and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Jete Laurence, Hugo & Lucas Lavoie, and John Lithgow.
Pet Sematary will be released to theaters nationwide on Friday, April 5th of next year.
Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
