Tate Steinsiek To Direct Cinestate’s ‘Castle Freak’ Remake

Tate Steinsiek has announced, via Instagram, that he’ll be directing an upcoming reboot of Castle Freak from Cinestate Entertainment. A renowned visual effects artist, Steinsiek is a two-time runner-up on SyFy channel’s Face Off competition series.

Based on the story by H.P. Lovecraft, the original Castle Freak was directed by Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator), written by Gordon & Dennis Paoli, and stars Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, and Jonathan Fuller. The visual effects in the original film were done by Optic Nerve Studios, which is owned by Face Off judge Glenn Hetrick.
