Sideshow Collectibles has announced that it’s adding The Joker to it’s Gotham Nightmares collection of premium statues. The company announced the collection and the first statue, Batman, late last summer. The statue was designed by Paul Komoda, Amilcar Fong, Jimmy Xu, and Martin Canale, sculpted by Martin Canale & Guillermo Barbiero and painted Kat Sapene & Casey Love.
Sideshow’s Creative Director Tom Gilliland stated: “We took the insanity of The Joker and made his entire makeup a tableaux of bas-relief Easter eggs of his entire existence.”
Sideshow Designer Paul Komoda added: “We wanted a very organic collage of all the elements of The Joker’s life and his character intermeshed into his body.”
The statue is available in two editions: Exclusive and Collectible. The Exclusive edition adds an alternate head and display stand to the Collectible edition:
The Joker is complimentary to Sideshow Collectibles’ first Gotham Nightmares statue, Batman:
The basic Collector edition is priced at $520.00, while the two-headed Exclusive edition is only $15 more. Preorders for Sideshow Collectibles’ The Joker Gotham Nightmare statue will begin tomorrow, Thursday, April 19th around noon.
