Netflix’ Stranger Things and last year’s remake of Stephen King’s IT took home nearly half the awards last night at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Stranger Things won Best Show, while lead actress Millie Bobbie Brown received Best Performance in a Show.
Co-star Noah Schnapp took home the win in a category stacked with horror – Most Frightened Performance – beating out Cristin Milioti in Black Mirror, Emily Blunt in A Quiet Place, Sophia Lillis in IT, and Talitha Bateman in Annabelle: Creation.
Finally, the scene between Brown and co-star Finn Wolfhard with Sting’s Every Breath You Take playing in the background won Best Musical Moment.
Meanwhile, IT won for Best On-Screen Team featuring Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, and Chosen Jacobs.
Wolfhard had two chances to win in this category, both for IT and Stranger Things. IT was nominated also for Best Movie and Best Villian, but ultimately lost to Black Panther on both counts.
