This sequel was released in the year 2000 and saw the series change direction, for the better, by bringing the Leprechaun back to planet Earth and dropping him in the hood. Leprechaun in the Hood and its followup Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood are easily the best of the franchise. Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood is the sixth film in the Leprechaun franchise. This installment from 2003 is tied with the series’ previous entry, Leprechaun In The Hood, for the best of the Leprechaun movies. Leprechaun: Origins is the seventh and most recent film in the Leprechaun franchise. Produced by a completely different crew of people than any of the previous entires in the series, this is the first of the Leprechaun movies not to feature Warwick Davis as the evil Leprechaun, instead the film-makers opted to use a computer-generated monster. Thus, Lephrechaun: Origins is essentially an entirely different movie from its predecessors. The film is directed by Zach Lipovsky, written by Harris Wilkinson and stars Dylan Postl, Stephanie Bennett, and Andrew Dunbar. Leprechaun: Origins has a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
